Had a bottle of this last night where the cork broke and it really seemed pretty tired with a notably dark golden color. Didn't note it because I figured I'd try another tonight, and thankfully, this one is much better. Medium golden color. Aromas of yellow apple, pear, bit of rubber/petrol, minerals, and a bready/sourdough note. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of apple, pear, pineapple, saline, herbs, and minerals. Nice one and very food versatile.

Thanksgiving wine. Decanted to show off the beautiful golden color. Light, elegant nose of tropical perfume, fresh cut white peach, some beeswax and hints of petrol on the finish. Palate / acid is on the decline but the slight residual sugar keeps it buoyant (for now); agree with the community to drink up ASAP. This was one where Mrs. Knurd was content to just take in the aromas. Even not showing at its peak still worth of the A- rating. …

WIML92 Tasted non blind. Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of petrol, latex paint, potpourri and apricot. Flavors of quince, tangerine, apricot and kumquat. Bright acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold.

Didn't take formal notes but this mentally checked a lot of boxes- subtle apple and pear fruit, saline and minerals, hints of petrol, depth and structure, and a $20 (WTSO) price tag. Beautiful golden color as well. A- (92) overall evaluation, value drives the score.

Restaurant tasting - pale golden colour. Crisp and nice acidity balanced with minerality. Pears and fresh apples. This Riesling was dryer than expected and with its medium long finish went well by itself as well as with medium spicy starters. Good value at retail price

This has a strong raw wood character that is off putting, sort of like the the lumber aisle at Home Depot. Behind it, there is a lot of depth and good varietal character. Nice acidity and fruit. Thick, nearly oily mouthfeel.

Golden color wine medium body with some bit o' honey botrytis a little apple and acidity to cut through it enough for a dry finish. Very nice wine that I was lucky enough to get <$20 making it a great QPR. Seems to have enough to last a few years still. Glad I have a few left.

Only my second tasting of Grand Cru Alsace Riesling and this Charles Sparr. This was way better than the first bottle (variation?). Nice and crisp with lively fruit a hint of tart apple bit o' honey and a smooth finish. Really enjoyed and will look to hold on to the last two for a awhile.
