I've had this in a few vintages now and it's a pretty solid QPR at ~$7. Great party option, as it's crowd pleasing, but not obnoxious or fake. Dense ruby coloring w/ some purple hints. Aromas of black and blue fruits, along w/ a little graphite and tar. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of blue and black fruit and a bit of graphite minerality running throughout. nice red fruit, lots of raspberry, if tasted this wine in the past but never wrote notes and it was not this vintage, definitely spanish grenache

If you are paying what I paid for this bottle, then it is a fantastic value. Everyone at the table had good things to say. Drinks like a bottle in the upper $20s and yet the price I paid was well below that. After consuming this vintage I later saw the 2013 in a store and bought them out ... which unfortunately was only two bottles.

Purplish red appearance with a sweet, grassy nose with maybe some citrus notes (unusual for a red). Bitter, biting flavor. A flawed cork broke during uncorking, so the bottle began bad. Perhaps the bottle was flawed, but I think just not to my taste.

Rich and inky garnet color. Tart, bright, and fresh: blackberry, black currant, blueberry, baking spices, balanced tannins. Finish is a little hot. A decent value that stands up well to spicy cuisine.

I'm not terribly excited by this 2012 version of Honoro Vera Grenache. To me it tastes a little rustic and unfinished. Not totally a disaster, there are some nice things to like. Almost perfect Grenache color. Decent strawberry and red raspberry nose. Unfortunately, the fruit is not really vibrant and juicy, just barely adequate. A lot of acidic tannins. Might benefit from the vinturi or a decant.

Strange Kind of Woman. Or Deep Purple - as you wish. Minor rim variating to red. Huge purpley notes. Nose is like a giant grape popsicle smothered in plum jam. Served in a dish a blackberry puree. I am sure that somewhere in there are some non-fruit components but I was too busy stranded in fruit ridiculosity to find my way out. Long finish and slight hints of oak. Maybe aged for a few months in barrels? Good stuff.
