Bindi, Quartz Chardonnay, Macedon Ranges

PNP. Straw color. Lemon meringue, honeysuckle, pineapple, and oak. Smooth , dry palate, with lingering, tongue coating acidity. This has a higher end Sonoma sensibility, but is not overly creamy. It’s slightly tart, but in a nice way. Long, lingering finish.

Supper with Daniel (and the girls) (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney) : Lots of bruised apple, a little marzipan, a touch sharp on the palate. Very oxidised. FLAW

colour pale yellow bright and clear 15/15 Nose intense , stone fruits peach apricot , pear, green apple , citrus lemon and lime , trop fruits of pineapple and lychee , white flower blossom backed up by steely minerality , sensational aromas for a wine at release 30/30 Palate all the flavours from the nose with plenty of mouthwatering acidity which was even throughout the palate , lovely silky mouthfeel , time will only enhance these flavours 42/44 overall love …

Supper with the girls (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney) : Very honeyed and, perhaps, a little forward, butter and peach join this, easily drinkable.

Consumed informally at JSE dinner. No formal notes. Opinion: Plenty of time left. Delicate, but powerful at the same time. Well balanced. An exercise in restraint.

This wine is still kicking. Nice acidity. It's tongue spanking good.

Didn't make a big impression until I drank it with a bit of spicy chipotle salsa

Superb bottle which could probably use a few more years of bottle age.
