Black currant, cedar, leather and a hint of coffee on the nose with attractive black cherry fruit. Elegant and opens up nicely after one and half hours decanted.

So young and tight I figured a decant was in order. The nose definitely benefited...and so did the palette. But a wine that is not thoughtfully structured will not stand up to oxygen at any age. Served at room temperature and consumed in its entirety within 60min and this could pass as a reasonable Bordeaux...otherwise it's pretty disappointing. Unripened red and green fruits, grass and dandelion hints. Dark ruby, but thin with almost no viscosity. Charcoal and light oak disappear …
