Apostelhoeve, Auxerrois

Taste: vital and rather prowerful fruit (soft apple and a light note of pear), good acidity, rather well balanced. A bit simple but tasty. This wine was best served cold (7-8 degrees Celsius), at about 11 or 12 it tasted too mature. 88-89.

(16/20) Best Auxerrois from the Netherlands. Very well-made! Medium intense aromas of orange blossom, yellow apple, white grapefruit, lemon, honeydew melon, almond, biscuit, wet stone. Fresh white fruit driven wine, with surprising nice roundness. Nice surprise!

Very light color; rather neutral nose, nothing leaps but it has soft apple pear and a little peach, steely and clean; palate shows a mid weight wine with possible a touch of rs and sweeter riper fruit finishing clean with an overall pleasant perspective.

I was biased, but to be honest: surprisingly good, absolutely worth the (little) money. Close to colorless. Fresh light fruit in the nose. Elegant, fresh, apple, a little bergamot. Makes you feel happy. I will buy some more.
