Nicolas Potel Morey-Saint-Denis

Nice colour, bright. Slightly spiced nose of red fruit. Good structure with reasonable fruit, but a slight bitterness to the finish. OK, but not terribly inspiring. Third of a bottle left for following day - far far bettter, fruit has more poise and focus, bitter edge has gone, nicely balanced now. Probably could have doen with an hour or two in a deanter to open it up initially. Never going to be the greatest of Burgundies, but a good example …
