right in the perfect drinking window now pale gold, very developed nose of Sauvignon, a bit smoky, with some chalk and flints notes. Medium weight and texturally balanced, almost sweet on the attack followed by a fresh mid palate. Notes of lime and elderflowers, a touch of tropical fruits; elegant and mineral. Great persistence, lovely one

Double blind tasting Pale gold, unfiltered Aromatics medium +. Creamy, ripe pear and golden flowers. There is grass and gunpowder, but I didn't notice them until wine was revealed and my tasting partner revealed my folly. Palate has medium body. Acid medium +, rather spiked. Mild phenolics. Alcohol medium. Primarily citrus based. Later some peach and flint. Finish has medium length. Balanced Dry glass notes of sweet grass Beautiful Sancerre Drink now, but has further aging potential.

Pale gold - day bright Medium plus aromas of stone fruit/ yellow florals with gunpowder and sweetgrass - touch of coconut early on which wasn't present later in tasting Medium bodied with palate of ripe apple and citrus with smoke and dry minerality at the finish Medium plus jagged acidity with medium ETOH and nice finish I really could smell/taste the flint/ silex nature here which was very cool Really complex and delicious Sancerre and one of the top five …

Citrus, flint, and chalk. Fresh, but not tart, so perfect acidity. Long finish. Paired nicely with Jamie Oliver’s Fantastic Fish Pie (salmon, shrimp, and hake from Metro Seafood). Somehow didn’t grab me as much as I recall the 2012 grabbed me (also drunk four years in....by coincidence.) I wouldn’t hold on to this, and will find reasons to drink my last two bottles soon.

Layers of tart fruit flavors. Really well balanced delicious food friendly wine. Compared to the Chambrates this was a clear winner for my tastes.

nice again, for a mid priced Sancerre this is a go to wine in my view... not quite at the level of the fantastic '12, but may get there with time

very good, which I was happy about cuz I had purchased the '14 (which we had loved) and the merchant sent me the '17 instead... this was bright, not grassy to any great extent, enough lemon to mimic a bit a white burg... I have noticed that the Sauv Blanc from Sancerre is more to my liking that white Bordeaux (in general)

Subtle nose with aromas of fresh citrus, green apple, a flinty note, and more white flowers than green tones. Sweet but somewhat tight citrus fruit, lean and fresh green apple and some nectarine and asparagus on the tongue. Lean and fresh, but with great pure and concentrated fruit. Long mineral-driven finish. Subtle but concentrated - my kind of sauvignon blanc.

I tasted this in a wine store that I had never much liked. When the distributor's rep poured my glass I assumed that this was just another $20 Sancerre. Bright yellow fruit on the nose, with hint of tropical. On the palate the fruit concentration was a shock. "This is a Sancerre for NZ sauv-blanc lovers - all the concentration without the cat's pee" I exclaimed. This was obviously much better than the run-of-the-mill Sancerres that I am familiar with. …

One glass at restaurant. Fairly sweet on the attack followed by an acidic mid palate. Not well balanced for my taste. 87-88

Les Gobeloteurs Tasting (Domaine Stéphane Ogier - Ampuis) : Tasting, brief note. On the lean side withvg energy and brightness. Best when fresh before fruit starts lessening. Good now.
