Who says CA Bordeaux blends cant age like their European counterparts??? Darn near 20 years out and this is still a fantastic bottle! Plenty of fruit, mainly dark. Some forest floor and learher notes. Still some grip, but oh so smooth. Lucky you if you still have a bottle or two in your cellar. Lucky me that I opened this today....

Dark red, violets on opening developing into more complex fragrances, including vanilla. 3.5 hour decant, notable sediment. Rich mouthfeel, well balanced tannins and fruit, with dark cherry and blackberry. Accessible and interesting now, but will gain complexity and can be kept for many more years.

Bought back when I heard of the damage Signorello suffered in a fire (I hadn’t had any before). Nose of framboise, fresh cut grass, and menthol. On the palate has plush dark fruit and bitter chocolate and pine, fading to harsher notes of alcohol and menthol on the finish. Drinks like a $50 Cali cab (do those exist anymore?), but not quite at its $80-90 price point. Could give it more time, but I fear that the alcohol isn’t going …

Hazy notes from a couple of days back. I wondered if I left this too long in the cellar, but it was still going strong. Classic cab blackfruits and cedar, medium bodied on the palate, velvety texture, with just a touch too much oak for me. Tannins are ripe but present, in a good way. Very nice overall (A-).

An old wine, part of a "past their prime" party where we drank wines that were supposedly on the decline. Still very drinkable, the tannins have totally softened and stay in the background, but the wine remains balanced. It was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Dark fruit aromas, trending toward figs and plums. Enjoyed immensely with some grilled tenderloin filets.

Ripe Napa juice, certainly built to drink early, most cab fans will dig this stuff.

Good but not great. A solid cab but expected a lot more from a PNV wine and for this price. Maybe too young still???

Still maintaining dark purple garnet colors with a bold yet short nose, the pallet still reflects a tight youth with complex fruit oak and tannins and the finish remains very long and flavorful. Drank in honor of the Signorello family after the Atlas peak fire that destroyed the winery. So glad they will rebuild as their tasting experience is very personable and enjoyable unlike the pretentious experience of their popular neighbor.

Last night on the Allure of the Seas and this bottle was just a baby. Deep ruby red with some garnet too. Dark nose with spices, dark berries, black currants, cassis and purple flowers. Heavy and rough tannins (8/10) with a medium plus to full body. A little rigid on the palate even with some time. Dark cocoa, some earthiness and cassis on the palate. A touch bitter too with lots of minerality in the long finish. This bottle needs …

Nose is a bit closed off, but it's extremely young, Very approachable as a PnP, surprisingly, the tannins are fine and sweet, Cocoa, cassis, dark red fruit and black fruits, tar, asphalt, good silky texture and long finish. Best example of this in a while, but I do feel I can get this same profile for the 50 dollar range. Excellent wine regardless.

Two soils types. Mountain and valley floor. Four clones of cabernet. Everything always separate in wine making. Here 2/3 mountain rest valley floor. 14% merlot and some franc. 80% new oak. More red fruit and spice then farella.

A four hour tasting appointment thanks to James. great to see James and visit Signorello. Nose of black cherry, black currants, and cigar box, more of the same on the palate, medium body, 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, tasty, medium amount of soft tannins, touch simple, medium/long finish.

Mostly Cab Sauv (75%) with Merlot (18%) and Cab Franc (7%) to complete the blend. Fig and jammy plum aromas from the glass. Ageing quite well, this full-bodied red wine has nice aroma replays, plus some mint, cassis and black currant notes on the palate. Very good acidity.

A fantastic mid-range Cab. It's a big, bold style that's rich with tons of oak and touch of minerality and a very nice grip that really accentuates the finish. -- Consumed at at cellar temp: 60°-65° F. Friends don't let friends drink red wine at room temp!

Late dinner of Argentinian sweetbreads. The Signorello has deep layers of flavors -- dark fruits, touch of vanilla. Medium tannins. Very approachable but I think this will improve and be a low 90's wine. Go back Monday and get the rest of the bottles at $2 per 375ml --what was I thinking
