Typical aged Riesling. Flavors of nuts. Some smooth acidity and minerality.

14kt goldene Farbe; erster Eindruck auf der Nase: ziemlich bissige, grassartige Säure, dann Weinbergspfirsich. Auf dem Gaumen kehrt die Säure wieder (ähnelt einem unreifen Sauvignon Blanc. Die Säure ist störend und mindert den Gesamteindruck erheblich. Insgesamt ist der Wein umbalanciert; mit der Säure ist er eher als durstlöschender Schoppen an einem warmen Sommerabend geeignet. Es fehlt das gewisse "Etwas"

At the winery's tasting room. Stonefruit, intense grapefruit, lemon and petrol notes, with lively acidity. Light- to medium-bodied and pretty evolved; the alcohol comes through on the end. Lacks substance.

Screw cap. The wine was straw yellow in colour and offered citrus, lemon effervescent powder, apple, peach, grapefruit, smoke and gasoline on the nose and palate, with fresh, medium-plus acidity and good length. The medium-bodied wine was reasonably balanced, but lacked concentration. Watery. Probably the result of high yields.

Glass: Riedel Vinum Riesling Almost crystal clear, youthful pale golden-grey color. Medium intense, youthful nose with lots of dominant mineral notes, freshness, citrus and yellow stone fruit. Feinherb (somewhere between dry and off-dry, residual sugar is perfectly buffered by acidity so it seems dry), high, well integrated acidity, complex, long. Aromas of stony mineral, citrus fruit. Very nice entry level with a good QPR. Will continue to evolve for several more years and will drink nicely for the next 5-10 …
