Very good. 14.5% alc. 12 months in new and old French and US oak. Colour: dark red berries with slight browning Bouquet: rustic, iron filings, cranberries, earth, leather Palate: as bouquet, barnyard, raspberries, coffee, dry long finish. Balanced and easy soft drinking. Lighter style than previous vintages though has depth still. October 2021

Goûté en Février 2014. Revisité. Belle surprise alors que l'alcool nous a paru moins dominant cette fois-ci, probablement aidé par le fait qu'il fut servi à environ 16-17 celsius (légèrement refroidi). Superbe équilibre. Excellent!

The label said it would age and benefit from decanting ; both were true. Ruby red with faint orange at the rim, lovely warm mature wine if a little simple. Cinammon, saddle and menthol were the most noticeable aromas and overall a very nice, conservative drinking experience.

This is good stuff. Very blueberry and still remarkably young, yet complex. Only real downside is just a bit too much hot alcohol, but this is in keeping with where it is from.

Nez fort, cuir. Grosse bouche. Fort mais encore équilibré. Tannique mais pas âpre. Un peu passé?

Clear, med intensity ruby color. Clean, developed, med intensity aromas of dark berry fruit, eucalyptus, roastedness and a hint of anise. Med(+) body, nice med acidity, med(-) tannin, high but unobtrusive alcohol (14.5%). Brighter fruit than on the nose, with med(+) intensity flavors of dark plum, raspberry, roastedness. Drink now, not sure how much longer the acid/tannin will hold. Nice New World balance.

Sill has life, but consume. Good balance, ample fruit.

Much better than in my last note. The wine has mellowed and became a velvety fruit driven pleasure to drink. Alas my last one.

Plutôt équilibré et goûteux, bien structuré mais néanmoins cher pour ce qu'il offre.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2010-01; Australia; d'Arenberg (By HV) : Juicy cassis and other dark fruits. Also some herbs and spices. Good fresh acidity. Elegant wine. Really nice now, but it can last several years.

A very nice effort with a blueberry note over some light fruit. Restrained nose but good palate. A great drinking wine.

Really good. Still young, but already gaining complexity. Fruit, acid, structure, texture all present and nicely balanced. Only downside is perhaps ever so slightly too much wood, but it is Australian. Probably has a good five years left and shame I only have 2 left.

Very nice wine, leather on the nose, nice combo of fruit and acidity on the palate. I'd buy this again.

Anything from the Southern Hemisphere at Suze: Blind number 5 - Tannic aroma - smells Bordeaux-like, like it might be something like Malbec. Polished currant fruit. Rich sweet palate with a slightly tangy finish. Tastes as if it has good breeding, though with a slightly high-toned finish. Surprise again. I missed this one by a mile.
