Falcor Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve "H Block"

Still has yumm factor. Cork split in two but wine was full of fruit and body.

Drinking extremely well at nearly 12 years of age. Featuring plenty of fruit, full body, and mellowed tannins.

Dark, ruby-black color. Rich, classic Cab nose of black currants, black plum and slight prune, red cherry, graphite mineral, and tobacco leaf. Similar palate, full-bodied, loaded with fruit, expressive blackberry and currant, black cherry, and extremely well-balanced for a big Cab.

This is a big cab. Very dark, almost black. Blackberry and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Cherry, tobacco and fig on the palate. Soft tannins. Paired great with an elk steak.

First taste of this cab and I sad to myself, "Man this IS a cabernet". Dark Jam on the nose. Dark ruby color. Delicious. Bold. Limy. Has slight hint of tar and tobacco. Tannins haven't fully mellowed yet, but it doesn't taste tannic. Falcor is one my favorite Napa vineyards. I ordered 6 bottles of this cabernet w/o tasting, but trusting the vineyard. Was worth it. I would probably order a case next time. Yes! :-)
