Zhe acidity was noticeable in the first glass, but after being open for twenty minutes, acidity faded back and more fruit was in the foreground. Went nicely with a Persian lamb dish.

Now drinking beautiful - it has reached a level of fruit-driven complexity that I would not have imagined, with spices and jam in the background and some deep savouriness.

Good but not outstanding Shiraz. Has nice streak of acidity and not a fruit bomb, restrained and a little tannin on the end. Fine with steak.

Dense darkred. Dark berries, violet, herbs and eucalyptus. Quite high acidity. Lacks some tannins.

Black fruit with a smoky, tarry note. The palate is pure blackcurrant juice on entry and then there’s a sappy freshness on the finish. Good, as ever, from this producer but preferred the 2016.

Not cheap in the cheap ranges of wine. Too much acid and you can smell the acidicity as the wine is opened. No way to try this Australian Shiraz next time. I threw it away without much consumption.

Tough crowd here in the notes. I like this a lot year after year. Blueberry compote, menthol/eucalyptus. Nice dry finish, decent length. If it's not your thing, fine. But this is an excellent QPR for those that DO like Australian Shiraz. 90 pts.

One of the better Aussie Syrahs I have tasted. Less harsh than I would expect. Big berry and spice notes upfront with a decently long finish. Hint of chocolate in there. Pretty smooth. Earthy and a bit dirty. Really nice.

Dark ruby. Fruit forward nose with raspberry, red cherry, cinnamon and herbal notes like mint and sage. As the wine got more oxygen started having a more pronounced minty character. The body was medium with medium+ acidity and a medium long finish. A good everyday shiraz.

Jammy and peppery bramble and black licorice scents. More spice than fruit but plenty of both -- mocha and dark ripe berries with black pepper and allspice. A pretty exquisite and well made fruitbomb.

Very cool year in Australia. A "delicate" Shiraz for australia. Everything on its own roots as well. Very lifted and beautiful nose. Wow, amazing as a Shiraz. Classic pepper but darn that lift is great. Stiff on the palate but it feels naturally "stiff". Meaning that it will age. Wow, impressive.

Lunch of roast shoulder of lamb, with my son and his family. Opened for an hour not decanted, Very dense colour almost black. Sweet fruity nose of black fruits, pepper, mint. Soft sweet texture with masses of fruit, held together with soft tannins. Balanced with very long length.

Very dense colour right up to the rim, good legs (14.5%) Sweet almost jammy nose, plumbs, black cherries, just oozes rich fruits. Mouth filling with that abundance of black fruits, spicey chocolate, peppers. there is some oak but it is well integrated. Go's well with big flavours. good value, I would buy it again
