Brad brought to the Jura tasting at YOLO. Like a lovely Fino Sherry with less alcohol. 91+pts.

I dropped by my local yesterday afternoon and while I was there, I was offered a glass of something that was brought by another client. It turns out, a very generous one. The Jura is a very unique region and I have to admit that I rarely drink the wines but they are always something different and I love and respect that. This wine was a dark golden color that made me think this was a “Vin Jaune” which is …

It's been 4 years, and this is still a powerful, savory, refreshing chardonnay blend, slightly oxidative. Excellent with sous vide cornish hen.

Par rapport à la qualité Mâcle, celui-ci m'a semblé manquer de subtilité.

Lovely, in an understated way. When I pulled the cork, the aromatics were stunning, but the palate was flat. I double-decanted at 1pm and served around 7:30. But the time we got to it the palate had opened up a bit, but the aromatics were more subdued. It feels timeless.

yellow gold. first day was dry, tannic, nutty, very tart. Compared to my previous bottle 2 years ago, it is slightly less tart, and improved.

Bouteille pas trop à son avantage: je l'ai connu plus tendu.

- Yellow gold color and aromas of sherry and pineapple. It's unbalanced and has flavours of sherry and walnut with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a long finish - Almost tasted like a sherry. Very concentrated, a bit salty even. An odd wine, makes me want tapas.

Supremely concentrated and savory, almost a meal in itself (but best with food!).

drank over 5 days. intense, dry, tannic, very tart. Only on the last day was it not "very-tart". small amount really dominates the meal, so it lasted several meals. Very interesting. Really requires the right food for me to apprciate.

Wow. Puts other Côtes du Jura wines to shame. Just so elegant and so what you hope and expect. Could be a 93.

Well, it took almost 4 days and half the bottle for this to loosen up, but well worth the wait! All white fruit straight through from nose to incredibly long finish. This wine is so intense I sipped it through 2 meals and still had a couple of glasses left (just as well, those were the best ones!). Pure concentrated ultra-ripe apple, peach and pear flavors without even a hint of sweetness. Powerful but notably tart for at least 72 …

Beautiful. What strikes me most is the balance between rusticity and refinement. It is an earthy, powerful wine, with a strong nut-oil component, but it also comes across as quite refined, with lovely mineral depth. Even young, this is nimble enough to go with a delicate fish dish, I think, without overpowering; but it also had the fortitude to work with lamb vindaloo. A really terrific bottle. Of course, what it really wants is chicken with morrels.

Intense !! De la matière, une aromatique très expressive, une superbe structure acide. Très bon. Et bel accord sur un poulet aux morilles.
