Delicate, buttery wine. Prominent citrus taste. Handled grilled seabass with pretty acidic citrus vinaigrette pretty well.

First time that I have had a chardonnay from Umbria. Very nice and refreshing; tastes more like a sauv blanc with higher acidity and citrus flavors than CA chardonnays.

A year later this is gaining weight and maturing nicely. Notes of honey and wax are starting to show up and accompany the stone fruit and tropical notes. Almost full bodied, dry, medium extract, medium acidity, good structure. Medium plus length on the finish.

Give it a couple hours to breathe. Very light straw color. Nose of white peaches, a little vanilla and a hint of oak. Nice mid palette of peaches, tart apple, even a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg. Nice finish. Great with food! Lovely.

Popped and poured. Light golden color. Some peach on the nose. Round peach fruit on the palate. Not too complex but well balanced and goes great with food. Very nice.

Smooth, medium acidity. Pear, apple and some citrus fruit. Oily olives. Typical Italian Chardonnay. Olive oil is to Italians what butter is to the french. Different to Chardonnay’s from Burgundy. 90p QPR: good

Consistent and good easy drinking. Not terribly complex but it’s big brother has all that at 3x the price.

This wine has a great fresh cut apple nose, along with some lemon. The mid-palate is weighty and tasty. The finish is where this one is lacking. You get a good dose of acidity, but the finish is short and watery.

Beautifully light and citrusy, light on the oak. Pears and white peaches, I really enjoyed this.

Nose envokes fresh mineral stream. Light on its feet with clean lemon. Not austere. No oak and possibly a bit simple / thin on mid to finish and quite short. Saying all that it’s excellent clean fresh drinking Chardonnay and worth the price (which is low).

This Chardonnay is sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Umbria, where the iconic Antinori family, innovators famed for their Supertuscans, have established exciting new projects. You can expect this to be a ripe, fresh wine, with citrus, nectarine, tropical fruit and melon notes and a refined mineral undertone. Pair this with grilled shrimp or chicken-and-bell-pepper kebabs- Vintages LCBO

Crisp and extremely crystal clear, pale straw yellow. Fresh and crisp nose of yellow plum, unripe pear, egg cream, faint citrus pith and wet slate. Nice mouthfeel and good body, balanced acidity and a nice lingering and fulsome finish. Flavours of yellow plum, citrus pith, mineral and a faint custard note. A bit thin on the mid palate, but only slightly. Overall quite nice.

Very good Chardonnay emerging from Umbria ! Critical to let this white warm a bit from cold storage (48 degrees). On initial pour/taste the wine was quite non descript, insipid, and watery. After about 20 minutes at room temperature, this wine really started to blossom. Reinforces my experience that even 1-2 degrees of temp variation can make huge differences in wine perception. Scents of acacia flower, vanilla bean, and shaved ginger root left a nice olfactory impression. Tart citrus, guava, …

There is no there. Could be any generic cheap Italian white. Light bodied, fresh, with some citrus.

Thought this was very interesting. Nose of pineapple, mango and nectarine, along with some wet rocks. On the palate, it is ripe but dry. Full bodied, unctuous, with balancing medium plus acidity, medium alcohol and more tropical flavors are reflected as well. The finish is of mid length and the quality is very good. Very good QPR.

This is really good stuff. I am not a fan of oaky Chardonnay but accept that you occasionally need it. I think its been managed very well here. It initially tastes deceptively simple but there is plenty going on. There are obvious Burgundian similarities for me and it probably sits between a Chablis prem cru with a bit more stuffing or a restrained Mersault. Very enjoyable - sadly on a diet at present so only one glass! Or i could …

Very pale straw yellow with bright flashes like silvery minnows in a creek. Lovely nose of fleshy yellow plum, wet slate, mild citrus and a general impression of custardy creaminess. Nice round texture, good acidity, lots of fruit extract and a long mouth watering finish. No sharp angles. The flavours are all fleshy yellow stone fruits - plum and apple especially, also some custardy creaminess and full bodied phenolics, plus a nice citric tang and cleansing acidity. A very nice …
