Color: Medium ruby Smell: Cooked red fruits, black cherry, limestone, wet leaves Taste: Medium plus tannins, medium body, medium acidity. Alcohol: 13.5% Tastes a little flat. Nothing jumps out to identify the wine. Smells more complex than it tastes.

Lean, green and rustic. Better day 2. Will give it more time or give it away.

The colour on this is Pinot like, making it one of the lightest Bordeaux I’ve encountered, which is interesting given the vintage. It has medium (-) aromas of oak, stem, BBQ bell peppers, plum, cherry, white pepper, and menthol. On the palate, it tastes light and juicy with smooth, melted tannins and medium acidity. Notes of saline, cherry, red plum, cranberry, bell pepper, white pepper, and a menthol finish. This may be the best vintage yet. It pairs perfectly with …

We didn't care for this on it's own, but used for cooking.

This wine, beautiful in the glass, not too challenging, complements food, a steal and a nice Bordeaux at that. Big fruity nose which has been described in detail in other notes, soft palate seemingly resolved (or close to) tannins and a lovely mouthfeel. Just a real nice wine. Nothing stands out above and beyond but who really cares? This bottle is ready to drink. If you’re looking to be moved, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for a totally respectable …

I had the 2017 vintage of this wine, and it was okay. I'm curious to see how it compares to a stronger year. The aromas are a mix of blackberry, red currant, roasted bell pepper, iron, and mushrooms. The flavours are light and juicy, with barely any tannins. The bell pepper taste is more noticeable than the fruit, almost like a Cabernet Franc. The finish has a bit of salt to make this one savoury wine. Sadly not a big …

Lean, easy enough to drink. Evolved from 90- to 90+ over 4 days. $10G. They have and all CF wine. But this one is not it.

Impulse Purchase @ Costco 13.5% abv - $7 Served (aerated, 1 hr decant) with Stuffed Bell Peppers, Green Beans and Fruit Salad. Dark ruby red on the pour, clear in the glass. Nice aroma of Dark red fruit, Cherry, Blackberry and Cassis. Medium-bodied, with Cherry, Cassis, and Chocolate notes on the palate along with some earthiness. Moderate tannins and nice acidity. Tart, pleasant, lingering finish. Not a hearty wine, more refined than rustic; an enjoyable, inexpensive Bordeaux. Spouse enjoyed; I'll …

No detailed notes. Had over 4 hours. Medium bodied red with earthy and fruity nose. Palate full of cherries and earth. Fine acid, fine fruit. More of a pizza wine type of supporting cast mate. Have now and through the next 5 years. Mileage may vary.

Deep ruby in color; red cherries and herbs on the nose; intense acidity; medium tannins; tastes like black cherries, plums, and wet gravel with a long finish.

Big oak and cedar at first, after a few hours I started to get more fruit (strawberry) and the oak subsided. Not super high quality, but really can't complain for $7.

Tasted over three days. Old School, friendly, Merlot-driven and rustic. The wine delivers intriguing nuance for the sub-$7 price (Costco). It showed best on the second and third days. Solidly structured, very well balanced, with low, 13.5 abv. A fine pairing with charcuterie.

Bland and acidic. Flat, no texture...it's cheap Bordeaux at $7. Didn't really disliked it nor enjoyed. Don't expect much.

It's $6.89 at Costco, probably $12-15 elsewhere. You get red/black fruit, some French Bordeaux tannins, not harsh at all, 70% merlot. It's a QPR diamond in the rough.

It’s wine. Decent flavors but not particularly refined. Fine at cellar temperature as a weekday wine. Worth the price.

Sometimes I need a reminder how middle of the road base-level Bordeaux is — this wine is the perfect reminder. It’s not terrible, but it’s not that good. Some berries, some spice, and basically no mid-palate drive. A little bit of length that is unexpected based on the indifference of the rest of the wine.

Nose: Berries/fruit forward, vanilla, casis Pallete: skewed to dry, acidic, tannic. Odd finish (almost metallic?)
