The nose on this wine is...fantastic. Utterly RRV. This is a wine I could inhale all night...if it weren't also a compelling wine to drink.

Similar notes as before, except that I had an opportunity to take a little more time with this wine. It showed some deeper, more baritone black cherry notes that added interest and deepened the core of the wine. The finish faded a little bit on the tail end, but it held together nicely overall. QPR-wise, this is a solid Pinot. 91 points this go-around.

Wren Hop : For a "second" wine, this presented notably well. Higher toned and a little thin compared to the usual Wren Hop Pinots, but still some nice pleasure to be found here. More medium-bodied, with some tartness on the back end. Bright red cranberry, pomegranate, and a vanilla laced strawberry cream element (which wasn't creamy in texture, but just in flavor). A little too much pucker factor for me at this point, but maybe some time will help it …
