Quite interesting GTS - 68% Grenache, 23% Tannat, 9% Syrah. Very closed upon opening, but opened up with some air. Intriguing nose of blackberry, blueberry, cherry and hints of tobacco, cola and herbs (thyme and basil). This nasal party unfortunately fizzles when moving to the palate…. the music stops and someone puts CSPAN on the tele. The teasing sweetness that tickled the olfactory system becomes dried fruit in the mouth. No juicy ripe blueberries… more like raspberries picked too early. …
