Domaine Grand Savagnin Côtes du Jura

Copper gold colour. Very distinct nose of walnuts and sherry with varnish. On the palate nuts, some tangy lemony acidity and a very notable sherry and nailpolish finish. This was a rogue bottle tasted with very low expectations and much hilarity on the occasion. It probably surpassed them given the balance was decent here; but not so complex and generally I didn't particularly enjoy the bitterness of the finish. Probably past its peak now.
