Really super. Loads going on. Some oak remained but was classy. No hurry either, though not sure it will get any better.

Light yellow colour, the nose shows light apple, almond towards almond paste, some development as one would expect and a touch of oatmeal. A lovely flow on the palate; there is still plenty of apples and orchard fruits (more towards the smell of an apple bin) a twist of spice that follows through on a crispy acidity. More minerals and complex than the 2013 in the bouquet. Also some butter. On the palate yellow fruits like peach, pear, mango, citrus and pineapple. Herbs and some butter. Full bodied, good acidity and a touch of sweetness.

Mid- yellow in colour. An intense nose with lemon cream biscuits, toasty oak, and a gunflint elements - there is still a hint of reduction. Good breadth to the mid-palate with plenty of fleshy stone fruit. Creamy textured with quite a ginger spice note, oatmeal, Fresh vibrant acidity keeping the wine alive and focussed. Some wafer biscuit, baked apple and wet stone on the finish. nice evolution.

Christmas Eve dinner, course #3. A most refined and elegant Chardonnay. Aromas of mango, melted cream butter, vanilla and camomile. The taste is a combined palate of white fruit and tropical flavours. Pear, mango, passion fruit. With buttery tones, vanilla, lightly toasted bread. And then a very pleasant acidity, with a touch of lime, kicks in, leading to a lingering finish. Perfect with the cod with mussels, fennel, carrot and beurre noisette. 13% - @ Sommos wine box

Big, and quite 'in your face' sort of Chardonny with notes of vanilla, pear, citrus and hints of tropical fruits.

Newton Johnson Event (Newton Johnson Wines) : (Tasted Blind): Light yellow with green tints. Aromas of blossom, white peach, ripe Tilton apricot, nectarine and a lick of vanilla. The entry is round, rich, down-the-line Chardonnay with some fatness in the mid-palate, lively, zesty acidity with some mealiness to the texture. Some vanilla with the stone fruits this is fairly straightforward fare with a medium finish. Very much fruit-driven.
