With pork chops alongside the 2006 Munzberg. Really bright and lively, very aromatic, lots of lift and excitement. Had some lime and savory notes as well as something a little spicy. Very good showing. Laible makes the best Weissburgunder out there, for my money. While this isn't up to the great 2012 GG, it was delightful. One of the best overall producers in Baden for sure.

We had two bottles of this wonderful wine in the last month, and both were fantastic. I frankly don't think I've had a more unique experience drinking pinot blanc. There is obviously something special going on at this vineyard, as there are so many subtle and even almost pungent notes in this wine. Apple, and sage (or something?) herby, and a joyous silky texture. Drinking at or near its peak now is my suspicion.

Tropical, creamy, apple and peach, ripe, lean mid, richer tropical toward back, good dry finish, long and full of ripe citrus.

Denser and richer than is typical for this grape, it also wasn't as aromatically rich. Nonetheless, it was quite appealing and delicious with food and on its own.
