Great nose. Barrel spice, cassis, and some mocha on the nose. Fuller bodied but light on it's feet, with red and black fruit and a nice backbone of spice and acidity. Fine tannins on the lengthy finish.

Well crafted, made in an austere style. Loads of blackcurrant, noticeable bell pepper elements, and eucalyptus on the nose and palate. Without flaws, but the wine showed some of the greenish elements typical of the difficult 2011 vintage.
