Loire valley (and a little Champagne); 9/14/2023-9/22/2023 : From open 75cl in a restaurant in Vouvray. Closed down so tight it seems unfair to give a rating this evening. Odd choice for a by-the-glass wine. Might turn out OK given 10 years in the cellar? NR

Color: Deep purple. Nose: Earth / wet gravel, leather, chili pepper, blackberry, strawberry sauce. Taste: medium tannin, low-mid body, medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, low sweetness. Red and black fruit. Very drinkable due to low-mid body, supported by acid + light fruitiness. Mildly bitter finish. - Not as good as (2018 Gro Cabernet Franc). A bit too tannic for my taste. Not to my liking, though all of my dinner guests enjoyed it. I decanted the bottle an hour ahead of consuming which opened it up a bit, though it had too much of a floral note to it that I didn't enjoy. Color was medium ruby red with a hint of spice.
