Not sure why I cellared this $9 wine for 5 years, but it turned out fine. Still plenty of fresh cherry/cranberry fruit on a silky palette finishing clean and medium long where an earthy component mixes in as well. Certainly tastes like cab franc, great QPR, will hold fine for a few more years, if I had another bottle though, I'd drink within the next couple of years.

Decanted 1 hour. Very thin nose, but 100% cab franc is evident. Not green, rounded off thru bottle age. Thin on the palate too. I don't know if this is "finesse" or just a watery year. Balanced, quaffable, but just not a lot happening. A serviceable accompaniment to grilled chicken breasts and thighs marinated in miso sauce. About what I expect for 10 clams.

Good - touch of herbs but still some depth and not too much green
