Starker, vollmundiger Chardonnay mit fettem Holz bewaffnet. Nimmt es auch mit großen Gerichten auf und lässt etwas Birne und Pfirsich durchschimmern. Kein Single Wein.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like oak.

Great wine. Super QPR from a Last Bottle sale… sorry I didn’t buy more!

Has a nice yellow glow about it, great aroma of citrus and pineapple, full-body, full intensity with bracing acidity, classy and harmonious, flavors of lemon, pineapple, apple and stone earth, drinking perfectly, in a gorgeous place right now, really bright personality, one of my favorites from P&H

This seems like it’s in its prime right now. Lemon curd, apple, oak, vanilla all come together nicely. The nose and palette are harmonious and backed up by a lasting finish and a rounded mouthfeel. Very much enjoyed this and wish I had picked up a few more bottles.

I drank this weeks ago, but can remember it still: this was fantastic. Citrus, fragrant nose, light oak, moderate butter, moderate acid, light mineral finish - everything perfectly in balance. The little I left in the bottle held up very nicely the next few days too. The drinking windows are highly conservative - to my palate this would improve with some more age on it! - but is certainly drinking nicely now.

This was in great shape and drinking well. Big and buttery, but with the lovely RRV pineapple thing going on that made it a joy to drink.

Light melon, citrus and unripened pineapple, fresh and clean aromatics. On the palate, more of the same, light toasted oak, almond, good balanced acidity, crisp and clean, touch of vanilla and spiced ginger with light to medium mouthfeel. Overall a very balanced finesse wine that is fresh and vibrant with a light cinnamon, ginger and oak finish.

One off ($21.99) from the LB P&H marathon referenced by a prior writer a few months ago. On the nose and palate, medium vibrant notes of red and green apples, white pears, white melon, lemon-lime, ginger, saline, white tea, fallen leaves and a bit of oak and vanilla. Medium gold, medium to full bodied, surprisingly light legs. Lively acidity, no heat. VG+ complexity and intensity, VG persistence. I’ve written about my long history with this label in recent TNs for …

Bought this at the LBW's last winter marathon, when they were dumping P&H single-vineyard chards and pinots for under $30. This Bootlegger Hill chard was $22. Very crisp with lots of acidity. Had with with pan-sauteed chicken breast in a sherry cream sauce

Light melon, white flower and toasted oak on the nose. Super crisp and clean on the palate, burgundian style with compliments of light oak, stone fruit and spiced ginger and medium to heavy mouthfeel. Overall a very balanced finese wine that is fresh and vibrant with a light but long spicy ginger finish.

At 5-1/2 years, this is really starting to shine. Some youthful characteristics, but in development. Clear, medium gold color indicating exposure to oak. Fresh aromas and flavors: apple blossom, sawdust, buttered popcorn, spicy green apple, tart mixed citrus, sliced green pear, crunchy green melon, creamy vanilla, and a salty vein of minerality on he finish. Nicely balanced, probably has seen only partial malolactic fermentation given the medium plus acid component. Judicious use of oak. Very long and persistent finish. Drink …
