It aged very well. Needed some time to breath and it evolve in the glass nicely. I feel asleep listening to some music leaving my glass on the side table. Early morning I put the glass in the wine fridge with a protecting film. I took it out for lunch and it drank very well. It has purple colour with some cherry flavour. I will go back to the shop and buy some more. Great value for money to drink …

My first Yves Cuilleron, planning on having some more. 👃 Meatiness, dark berries, a slight whiff of burn from the alcohol, 👄 Med acidity, med volume, good fruit med length. Somehow this feels like a quite standard Rhone but the balance and depth just elevates it that much more. Can be cellared some more but for my tannin taste this is ready to go :)

Blackberry, slight farmyard, black and green peppercorns, sweet spice. Juicy fruit sweet on the palate with liquorice joining the brambles, touch of alcohol warmth, tannins are drying and chalky textured. Medium plus length with the fruit just about persisting. That alcohol is a bit warm on the finish.

Excellent wine for the price and ready to drink now. The nose really reminds me of Jean-Luc Jamet wines. Really good syrah. Will buy again for sure.

Quel beau St-Joseph bio, vendu à bon prix (29$ CAD)!

89-90 pts

Not ready for primetime yet. Tight black raspberry, pepper, and earth on the first day. Second day added a hint of leatheriness and the oak spice came through more clearly. Quite tannic right now. Really needs a year or two at least to come together. 88+

13.0% - Clear, med to deep purple / clean, high intensity - blackberry, cassis cream, violet, freshly cracked white pepper, some garrigues / dry, med to high acidity, med+ fine grained tannin, med to full body, med to high intensity, long finish. Drank over 3 days, was super austere on day 1, but it blossomed nicely over the next two days. Definitely a warm year for this '15 vintage, more stuffing than the previous vintages I've tasted, less of that …

Very dark and rather murky. Nose is dark fruit, smoke and raw meat. Yum! medium+ body with well concentrated tertiary flavours and electric acidity! Tannin is under all that padding

Tuesday Night Double Blind <$40 (Bin 75) : Dark core, cloudy, maroon rim; intense nose, green, black pepper, sweet and sour, brine, smelling it tickles the back of my throat, velvety texture, mineral; a bit more friendly on the palate, very sour, black pepper is less pronounced, lots of tapenade, granite, salty, sour plum, deeper, plush tannin, high acid is a bit harsh; has this gone through malolactic?, very intense wine reminiscent of the 2007 Equis, tons of character but …

Despite my misgivings about this producer, the wine proved to be quite fresh and mineral with distinct olive notes and a red fruited profile. Plenty of acidity here, but with air the wine fleshed out without losing its freshness. Distinctly N Rhone Syrah.

This is a good, but not great example of St. Joseph. Very floral and mineral on the nose with some red fruits. The palate has red fruits with notes of violets and decent intensity. Overall pretty tasty, very young. I'd wait and let this develop more.

In the glass the wine is an opaque purple, approaching black in a hurry. The nose is explosive. Fresh cracked black pepper, chorizo, granite, blackberry, worcestershire, black garlic and bacon are all jumping out of the glass. The palate is rich and creamy. Blueberry pie, cumin, caraway, rye bread, fennel and thyme come through on the finish. This wine is bottomless, despite my best efforts, I will never be able to conquer all of it’s secrets.

The producer says drink up, and I agree! Nice and refreshing Syrah. Medium bodied. Strong peppery nose and pallet. Overall enjoyed this young example of northern Rhône.

Beautiful dark fruit nose, with moderate animal character. Lacking the black pepper notes that I expected and Chave's Offerus had. Quite mellow and very much drinkable already, although it would certainly gain complexity with time. Has got nice structure though. Drank over 3 days, was best on the third. Enjoyable.
