J. Moreau & Fils Chablis Gloire de Chablis

Chalk, tired fruit and shells. Trying to be good but it is not.

Chablis Tasting Event (Bistro Moncur, Sydney) : Slightly reductive struck match, a little mineral underpin, slight floral notes, stone fruit, almost a touch of roasted pineapple in the mouth it is fleshy, generous rich, a little butter touches of baked sweets, big, kind of nice.

Stony minerals on the nose. Medium bodied, dry, crisp and rather refreshing, delivering citrus and apple notes with stony minerals carried by firm acidity. Elegant and poised. A textbook basic Chablis.

Veldig god

Light golden in color. Pronounced aromas of citrus and apple. Crisp acidity with a long finish of citrus and apple fading into bread like flavors.

Flinty, earth, apple, citrus, and lees on the nose. Flavourful and textured palate with toasted, nutty, leesy characteristics to the finish. 4/5
