A bit dry, this has seen better days. Not at all bad and it’s all holding up well, I can’t help thing it would have been better with more fruit.

I had this a month ago, and today I’m drinking it alongside of the 2016. I think a month ago I described the nose as brooding; I wouldn’t use the same description today, but this clearly shows as darker-toned and darker fruited than the 2016. Like the 2016, this also has a lot of time in front of it, and it should be fun to check it’s development over the next decade or so.

Christmas Eve Dinner. Dark garnet, with classic aromas, which peaked about 3 hours after opening. A more feminine type of wine, the tannins are almost fully resolved, and the acidity is just right. If you enjoy older wines, this will surely please.

It’s been two years since my last note on this wine. Drank from a Conterno Sensory glass. And this has what I would call a brooding nose; ripe fruit, more black than red, and tar. An autumnal nose. Good acidity and persistence on the palate. The red fruit is more present here than on the nose. Pretty tasty 👍🍷

Classic tar and roses but not as developed as I had hoped. High tannins and stringent

Flott vin til lammeskank, ser ingen videre utvikling i denne.

Right in the core period to enjoy. Tannins integrated, but still with lots of acidity and bright cherry and tobacco. Ruby with slightly translucent edges. Since it blended in the vineyards, it lacks the character of the best versions of those, but this is quite rich and lengthy compared to most years of this bottling, IMO. It was worth keeping back to see how it aged compared to say an Ovello or Rabaja.

1st of 3. Decanted 2 hours, at which point it shows only a little cherry fruit, along with fennel seed, orange zest, and tar; balanced but restrained, doesn’t seem faded but like it’s not showing its hand just yet. I’ll hold the others at least 3-5 years longer; for now, this is very pleasing but not exceptional.

Opened about a month ago. As others have written, good in every way and, IMHO, ready.

Limpid cherry red. Lovely weave of flowers and warm minerals and soil on nose. Tannins still present with tight fruit. Lots of energy. Delicious wine perfect with pork tenderloin wrapped in ham. Wine Amateur and I bought at same time and removed from same storage at same time so he was just unlucky with his first bottle

Mercifully not corked like the last one, as this is drinking extremely well. Very settled, the rose, herbs, strawberry, leather and liquorice knitted together with gently bitter and pleasingly sour tannin. Potentially, a risk leaving this too long past what is (to date) its apex. 3 bottles left. May take the risk with 1.

Better than hoped for. On opening a large orange peel and red fruit bouquet. Settled over an hour into sweet yet classic nebbiolo, more powerful and deeper than expected. 2010 is an enigma for me. Piemonte being much better than Tuscany and the gap is widening.

Bit too tarry and stodgy. Not enough freshness or lift and the hoped for flowers and fruit were absent. No idea where this is going but maybe try again in 2026. The second half of the bottle a day later was more promising. Bit more elegant and more fruit. Still quite a furry finish. I think this is on the up slope.

Bought from auction. Good fill, intact cork without being soaked. This had funk that did not blow off after a few hours. Faint whiffs of stink-bait. I’m chalking it up to pre-mox, poor storage. I’m usually able to drink a glass or two of less than optimal wine but not this one.

Opened and poured half into 375ml bottle. Re-corked and refrigerated.Glasvin Kane stem. Decanted first half of bottle. Deep maroon color. Nose of woods...forest floor and dried cherries. Some cured black olive too. Earthy cherry with some leather and tobacco notes. Tamarind past too. Good acidity. Slight bit of heat on the finish. Tertiary notes predominate. Limited fruit.

A dozen bottles from 2017 to 2025. Some bottle variation. Took until 2018 to show at its best. The better bottles have time ahead of them. Clay pot, rose, rosehip, tar, bright crunchy red fruit. Something herby. Clearly a fine wine but hard to score it higher as it is lacks some of the complexity in the mouth and a degree of refinement.

Beryktet god årgang. Har overlevd i en kjeller i Italia siden 2018, mens prisen har steget 2 x. Aroma av stall og kirsebær. Kompleks, med tydelige og behagelige tanniner, tydelig frukt.

Drank several of these over the Christmas period - mostly excellent (a little bit of bottle variation) and probably has quite a few years ahead of it. The bottles can swing between perfurmed and elegant to tighter and darker but all very much the same wine. Probably some storage issue on the various lots that I purchased from 3 seperate suppliers.

Popped and poured. Interestingly this hasn't really moved much since the last time I tasted this wine (when I found it rather forward) - quite savoury, earthy, meaty and umami with pot pourri, tannins are wonderfully bold on the palate, not really what I would call fruity - those flavours are more in the fruit tea spectrum. Yummy though.

PnP Z Burg. Mot Langhe nebbiolo 21. Rik sødmefull lukt med krydder og syltede bær, jordbær. Rik frukt med forsiktig modning. Fin balanse, noe tanniner og middels til god syre. 1 dag: Flott, nesten bedre balanse i dag. Sursøt frukt
