Callie Collection Chardonnay

Decent white with nothing notable good or bad.

Purchased for $5/bottle at Stirling Fine Wines. Straw yellow in color. On the nose, grass, pineapple, baked apple. On the palate, reminds me of apple pie. Sweet green apple, vanilla, maybe a hint of nutmeg. Not overly complex and short finish, but this fits the bill perfectly when you're looking for an easy sipping wine while focusing on other things. B+

Lighter style and simple with some apple fruit but overall this is a basic wine. Short finish and needs a bit more acid.

Agree with the previous reviewer, this is basically a party white wine. It tastes like cheap white wine, but it isn't terribly offensive. As in, if I ordered it at happy hour for $4-6 a glass, I wouldn't complain about it. It is potable. An attractive, medium-gold color. Faint, flowery nose. Very full mouthfeel, adequate acidity, moderate finish. This tastes like no Chardonnay I have ever encountered. The fruit seems to be a blend of peach and pineapple, and there is a very pronounced sweetness that I found distracting. There is a reason that this is on sale for $3.99 at my local supermarket.
