Dinner with Nick and Salil - 1/2 Killer nose. Bright red fruit and also intensely savory. Tart cherry preserves, raspberry and chocolate, caramel(?) or something salty on the palate. Strawberry, strawberry pie, twizzler, vanilla. Medium/light body, medium acidity. That strawberry grandma candy. Juicy red fruit on the finish.

A good wine, but the palate is more cranberry than I would prefer. I enjoyed 92. Objectively 93+. Nose: Strawberry, green strawberry, rose, cedar. Palate: Elegant, pure, deep high toned red fruit. Reminds me of a Fourrier wine (though not, oddly enough, Fourrier's Clos Sorbes) -- features the same ethereal weight and transparency, with fruit material that's sleek, streamlined, and already past its primary fleshiness, allowing a clear window into the layer of stony earth underneath that makes it very reminiscent of one of those Chambolles that feels like drinking liquified limestone. Just a fantastic young Burgundy; amazingly fragrant and elegant, and all about incredibly pure red fruits and floral elements at first with more savoury earthy elements slowly developing with air. It's very primary right now, but it has a remarkable sense of purity and finesse with stunning balance and remarkable length, with the last couple of glasses being absolutely compelling.
