100% biodynamically farmed Pinot Gris. Fermented spontaneously, macerated with the skins. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without any added sulfites. 14,5% alcohol, 1 g/l residual sugar and 5,8 g/l acidity. Tasted blind. Luminous, translucent, medium-deep raspberry-red color. The nose feels very reductive and quite flatulent at first, but after the reduction blows off, there are fresh aromas of Fuji apple, some crunchy redcurrants, light cherry tones, a little bit of savory spice, a hint of smoke and a faint lifted touch …

Organic & unfiltered wine with no added sulfites; still on its lees. A rather surprising and unexpected take on pinot gris. Although technically an orange wine, the color on this actually leans much more toward a vibrant, albeit somewhat cloudy, ruby red. I would personally suggest serving this just slightly chilled as it does get more interesting the more it warms up. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this and would definitely buy it again.
