Pulled last bottle of this one about 5 and half years ago. The score stays the same. The wine has settled in nicely. Not spectacular but good for the price.

Opened a few hours before drinking. Took a bit of swirling in the glass to clear the oak, then opened up. Not that notable, but well balanced and enjoyable at this stage.

Last bottle of four that we have consumed over the past 7 years (6-13 years past vintage). Paired with seared pork loin off the grill. Overall consistent with previous notes only developing a more pronounced red fruit core and some deeper savory notes on the finish. Still very good concentration but with round edges. The finish lasts a good 30-45 seconds. Like a lot of 2009s at this price point, it's likely entering a peak window over the next few …

A juicy, fruit-forward wine typical of the 2009s. Decanted for about two hours. Ready to go, but no hurry. Really delicious. This estate has profited from being a part of the Pichon Baron stable. Hard to imagine better QPR.

It was a delicious red that we consumed along side the 2010. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, cherry and light toast with clove and spice on the nose. There was no sediment in the bottle and there were medium/small legs. At the beginning the taste is of clove, rosemary and a little spice that subsides to a silky smooth blackberry and cherry and red currant flavor with a hint of light toast. The clove and spice kicks in nicely at …

A deep garnet color. Some Cherry, raspberry, and some grassy notes on the nose. Smoky with some allspice notes on the pallet.

Solid QPR at $30 paid. A bit tart on day 1 and more open and integrated on day 2. Not a wow but a balanced Bordeaux profile with a mix of red fruit and secondary flavors

It is a very good Pibran but clearly needs more bottle age. I am surprised at how backward it is and probably will not revisit for a year or two.

Still young and tannic. Took a couple of hours in bottle to punch through. Needs 3-5 more years. Recommend decanting.

Decanted and was enjoyable, not a lot of definition, but good with food. Second night, no decant, had really evened out. Much better mouthfeel, very velvety. Nice fruit. Score from second night.

Decanted for 2 hours. Aromas of iron, burning embers, black cherry and currant. Flavors of cherry, currant, iron and touch of plum. Ends with a iron and blackberry infused finish of 20+ seconds. Got better with each sip. Going to be tough to keep my hands of the other bottles.

Dark jam berries and slate on the nose. Fennel, some leather, black licorice and cherries with the merlot punching through. Medium tanin. Breathed for 1 hour but could use a smidge longer tbh. Have carried this [stuff] around for 10 years with skepticism, but am happy I did so now.

Quite a heavy nose, fruit driven with a fairly wooden backdrop. Entry follows the nose rich and toasty, fairly extracted. Ends well following the same profile without any sharp edges

Great wine. BlackBerry, blue berry, apply, and lime peel. Keep for another 2-3 years. But so good to drink now.

Enjoyable bottle at a reasonable price for a pauillac. Nose of cherry pie, dark fruit, marzipan, with a hint of graphite. Smooth and fulfilling on the palate with a long, slightly chewy finish. If you like the high quality, fruit forward Napa Cabs, this Bordeaux wont disappoint and is probably peaking now for you. If you like more age and development, I bet this will get a little better for 3-5 years.

Straight forward, classically styled with an earthy, tobacco and crisp cassis filled, medium-bodied character, this is already hitting its stride.

Ok, I'll bite. Merlot and Cabernet are now well integrated and tannins are well on their heels. While some red and blue fruits are bright and fresh thanks to the nice acidity, lingering on the nose and tongue are also hints of compote. There is more, too. Hints of chocolate, vanilla and lingering dusty tannins in a medium minus mouthfeel. There may be more complexity to be revealed, but I fear that the structure is falling away quickly. Peak in …

10 year anniversary month wine. Nice with steak skewers. Classic nose, less bold than the bigger houses of course, but very nice. Well integrated.

Still young. I think the finish may improve with a few more years of cellaring. Great nose and fruit on the front end.
