This wine does not have the nose, taste, or mouthfeel of a Merlot. It is acidic and borders on beinog vinegar. This was the second bottle, same outcome.

Never heard of this winery before our trip to the Texas Hill Country. Fun winery in an old cotton gin that dates back to the 1880's. Surprisingly good wine as well. Had this wine at a nice restaurant that specialized in Texas food, so I had wild boar tenderloin, and the wine paired great. The merlot was med to full bodied with lots of blackberry, cherry, vanilla, spice, and the oaking gave it an obvious smoky flavor that went great …
