This bottle was disjointed with high acid and more heat perceived, not a lot of fruit and somewhat heavy with some tannins. Not a good showing. Needs food.

Nice aged pinot, a bit off balance with some heat. This is full bodied but with nice acidity and even a tad savory (as opposed to sweet). Some mushroom and forest floor notes.

Brought to a picnic, big hit. Showing consistent with last summer's bottle, this is showing rather young, vibrantly. Red and black berries, Asian spices, some plum and red floral. Heat and acids are off, making this a bit more disjointed than it should be. Medium+ body, med-low acids, medium finish. Nothing special for me, but the unwashed masses loved it. 14,0% abv, B

Consistent notes. Very solid for the $21 I paid, but not getting any better either. Drink these while you're waiting for the 1er and GC's to age. 14,0% abv.

Nice balanced PN. Has good red acidity to balance the sweetness in scent and early taste. Works well with char-grilled duck.

Slow O for 2 hours. Enjoyed over 2 days. Simple aromas give way to subtle complexity on the nose and palate over the course of two days. Some earth, underbrush, cherry and spice on the palate, but nothing overwhelms. Decent acidity and smooth tannins, but overall my impression is reductive in quality. I don't see the stuffing for cellaring, enjoy this in the short run. Approx $21, drink thru 2013.

Popped and poured. Ruby with a pink rim. At the beginning, scents of cooked meats, and blood, but after some aeration into the glasses the fruit was emerged. Med to full bodied on the palate, round, with good balance, soft tannins and high level of glycerin. Flavors of ripe cherries and strawberries, dark chocolate and sun - dried tomatoes. Generally a well made wine.

Needed some time to breathe. Was slightly tannic to begin with. Good finish.

Probably one of the best NZ pinots I have tried, although I have generally been disappointed. Good roundness and less simple than others without overwhelming with oak or sweetness.

Acidic and fruity. Tried with x-mas ham. Above average.

Strawberry, cherry nose with hints of moss. Brisk taste follows the nose, with nice balancing acids and long after taste. Not that jelly-like, but rather a frisk, balanced wine. Maybe a cool and rainy year in Marlborough?

Slight disapointment as earlier bottles have performed well. Complex, strawberry and lingonberry, but with a slightly disturbing hint of carbon acid.

An inspiring well made wine. Strawberry and cherry tones. Very complex and intriguing. Enjoyable to say the least.

NobleRottersSydney - Pinot Comparison (Alio's, Surry Hills) : {screwcap, 14%} Getting on for ruby-coloured, the fruit aromas are so intense and piercing that all else is lost. It’s like someone shining a bright and fruity light into your eyes, to the point where you are blinded to everything else. Confected cordial-like strawberries are dominant, but there’s no real depth to the aromas. The palate has soft tannins and a little acidity, but there’s a sheen of ripe yet innocuous fruitiness …

Best NZ Pinot Noir yet. Lingon berry aroma, taste fruity but not heavy. Niice crisp lingon berry taste. Thanks to the fresh and crisp taste, I rate this higher than most New World PN´s. The less appreciated strawberry jam aroma is not present in this elegant masterpiece. Screw Cap - well, easy but not so elegant.
