Pours a medium golden color with good clarity some length legs. Nose is tight and steely even on day 3 open. Touch of herbal honey, stainless steel and unripe pineapple drawn out by a little musky funk. Palate is weighty, waxy and fruit is more prevalent than the nose but still fails disjointed and a touch muted. Would like a bit more acid than what’s offered. Nothing too special here for the price, buy vouvray.

Leesy nose, the fruit has fallen out, leaving some white mushroom and petrol. No apple or honey at this point. It’s an interesting wine that ought to be drink now.

Starts off bright with a good level of acidity. Then develops deeper flavors of pear and apple. Covers all the bases.

High-toned, still a lot of bright acidity. Doesn't always read Chenin-but very brisk and food-friendly wine that still has some unfolding to do.

Soared into the upper side of palate and danced there with ripe pear and apple. The underlying structure held some minerality and the fruit had a delicious and mouth watering aspect to it. Looked forward to each sip of the glass and gone before you know it.

I'm with DLDUCHON on this one. I love acid driven wines, but this is fairly one note with nothing balancing the acid or adding much if any complexity. While an abundance of acidity is definitely preferable to too little, DL was more generous than I am. I'd give this a pass, so many great CBs out there. This is not one of them.

I enjoyed this Chenin. A drier style and lingering tang & bitterness on the finish. Lighter style. Needs something to counterbalance the acid and bitterness for my palate.

Pretty neutral in terms of aromas. Apple, honey, lemon zest. Underlying salinity on the pallet that leads to some phenolic bite. Good wine, albeit simple

Lemons, apples, beeswax. Slightly lighter than a typical chenin. Loved this wine, could drink it all night.

After an hour open, the nose shows some typical chenin honeyed notes. On the palate, white flowers and some quinine are the dominant flavors. Somewhat hollow and dilute on the mid palate. More pleasurable on second day when quinine flavor/bitter element dissipated. D and R usually deliver great new world spins on classic old world grapes which, if not always typical, allow one to imagine the grape in a new, delicious way. This isn't one of them though.

Really nice with 30 minutes of air. Others have commented on the flavors of oyster shell, tangerine and wax. I find my palate craving more and more of these types of wines. Well done!

Very light bodied for a chenin - I would have guessed Sauv Blanc - maybe unoaked Bordeaux - with a grassiness and white flowers on the nose. Herbs, grass, and a bit of sharp bitterness upon entry that isn’t the most pleasant. Pretty florals, with just a hint of honey and tropical fruit on the backend. Good energy, but none of the vibrant attack of a top class Vouvray or Montlouis. Not getting any of the waxiness, lemon curd or …

Agree with others, comes out a bit tight with more Petrol and citru notrs, with air showing white flower, waxy oil, some quince, wet minerals and perhaps some moss. Quite well made. And domestic at that.

Bright citrus, ripe honeydew, and fresh cut grass - this Chenin just screams freshness! Aided by mouthwatering acidity, the wine presents itself in a lively, forward style that carries it effortlessly through a meal or simply sipping solo. Don’t let this style fool you though - it still shows a pleasing amount of depth. Crushed stone, peppercorn, and touches of honey creep in, before a subtle but persistant creaminess settles in for the long run. A strong floral sense hangs …

Waxy texture, mid weight, honey and floral notes on the palate, with a nose of herbs, honey, lemon curd. A classic Chenin profile. The mid-palate however is very subtle, and while this is a complex and intriguing wine, it is not in your face, you have to lean in. The texture filled out with air, so decant.

PnP on a Friday night -color: a light golden yellow -Body:a medium body by appearance, -Aroma: beeswax lemon curd, golden delicious apple, pear, yellow bell pepper and cracked white pepper -Palate: a waxy lemon and red apple flesh, acidity is medium, a wet wooliness on the ground floor of a finish that has lemon and wax character that carries for ages and ends with a lemon zest twinge on the top of the tongue.

Pop and pour with grilled halibut. Medicinal on the nose. Cracked pepper, clove, bell pepper and overripe citrus. Needs decant. first glass came out pretty flat, second glass was much more open, great structure with more floral, less spice and flinty minerality

Decanted. Now 2h later. Shy aromas of wet wool and lanolin, hint of honeysuckle and citrus. Baked tart apples, more wool and lanolin, herbs on palate. Lots of minerals on the mid-palate with a touch of grapefruit pith that adds interest. Excellent acids in a medium body. Nice long finish. Clearly young and coiled. Will be interesting in another 5 or more years to see if the wine loosens and opens up more.
