Decanted two hours. Silky, ripe Cabernet with notes of sherry, licorice, black pepper, aromatic violets, fine tannins, great viscosity. This is a typical Melka style of wine bordering on overripe and oversweet without quite crossing the line. Cult Cabernet lovers will enjoy the intensity, although its density and concentration are more moderate. Showing beautifully.

As always Davis delivers. This vineyard always puts together elegant wines. Fruit forward Black cherry and soft tannins. Very easy to drink

On the nose; ruby, floral, elegant, beautiful dark cassis. fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries and plum. Nice florals of; violets, lavender and fresh red florals. Dark chocolate, caramel & softly layered baking spices. The body is full beautiful and well textured. Ripe and floral fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, strawberries, blue fruits and plum. Tannins are nicely integrated for such a young wine. Plush, massive fruit. Probably the biggest Melka I've had.

Napa city. Oak and ripe fruit. Balanced. Medium plus body.
