Had this one at dinner with a friend. Yes, I do Olive Garden occasionally… for some reason their Alfredo sauce has me hooked. 🙄 We started with the Shrimp Fritto Misto, then shared a Tour of Italy entree. Not a bad pairing for the meal, since it worked best among the choices we saw there. Gambero Rosso Tasting (Doltone House, Sydney) : Quite savoury, earthy, muted fruit, slightly oxidative handling? Medium plus intensity acidity, sour cherry, quite dilute on the palate. Meh.

I had this at a restaurant with steak. Same advice as the others except to add tannic. Went well with dinner but I could easily have done better.

Coravin tasting clear, med+ ruby clean, med+ primary, secondary & tertiary intensity of dry cherries, earth, smoked meat, herbaceous; developing dry, high acidity, med tannins, med body, rich dry cherries, earth, smoked meat, herbaceous flavours, spices, med complexed, long finish; developing can drink now - but better age further 2-3 years at least till entering its optimal drinking window. very good - will age well 7-12 more years.

Subtle talons..aromatic.. light finish. Beautiful with tomatoe pasta, no surprise there😊 The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like raspberry. It tastes like strawberry. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

PnP in a restaurant. Nose not shy straight off the bat showing tar, coffee, earth and some plummy fruit. Palate is crisp, coffee, cocoa, dark fruited and has really nice freshness. I really like this and it is excellent value, ability to age or drink now.

Aromatic and expressive, red berry aromas with sweet spice and a whiff of petrol on the nose. Medium-bodied with very good flavor replays; balanced tannin and acidity; dry, elegant and lengthy finish. 4/5

Red with a bit of black berries all make up for very good Chianti- Cabernet and Merlot add a bit more body for meat partnering but thoroughly enjoyed this with spaghetti and puttanesca sauce.

Extra dry medium, medium-full body, with medium-plus tannins and gentle acidity, but not balanced with mildly aggressive tannins. Long sour cherry finish.
