Finally drank this with Rich and Janet after picking up years ago on our trip. Matured quite well, balanced and flavorful....with this unique blend.

Pretty much ditto on the tasting note from RICHEB1 below. I have had a number of Limerick Lane wines that have disappointed me (despite good professional ratings) to the point that I have stopped buying, but this bottle out-performed expectations dramatically. The best components of the major contributing varietals, zin and syrah, were well-represented and beautifully complemented each other. Tasted the remnants the next day with consistent conclusions.

52% Zinfandel, 45% syrah, 3% grenache. I have a love/hate relationship with Limerick Lane wines. I love when they're on....but I hate how they've aged and I REALLY hate the price increases. Because of the latter, I am no longer a buyer and this is one of my last bottles (still have a 15 Obsidian Block Petite Sirah and a furmint), and I am very happy to say I went out on a high note. Deep, dark, fully integrated fruit …

An amazing expression of RRV terroir, IMO, for a full bodied red. Red fruit driven, amazing structure and long finish. Every sip was more interesting than the last. Elegant and focused. I wish I had another so I could see how it develops over the next few years. alas,

% ABV. 52% Zinfandel, 45% Syrah and 3% Grenache. Savory nose of black fruits, smoke, bacon fat and flowers. Medium to full bodied with perfect acidity. Concentrated and powerful. Blackberry, raspberry liqueur, baking spices and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Fascinating wine where the Syrah aromas jump out of the glass and the flavors are all about the Zinfandel. Best over the next 2-4 years.

About as complex as any Zin I’ve ever had. Nuanced dark fruit and mineral notes. Wish I had more.

This wine has gotten much richer since first tasted in November of 2017. It is less bright than it was 4 years ago, but is now this deeply layered and sumptuous wine. One of the most outstanding aspects of this wine now is the way it feels in your mouth - velvety without being sappy. The other wine of the night was a 2008 Chateau Lynch-Bages Pauillac which was fabulous, but the WOTN went to the Limerick Lane!

Slightly fruit forward due to the Zin, but also complex and well balanced. Super enjoyable

Still has a way to go. Both Ruby and Purple. High alcohol with intense mixed aroma. Cherry, blackberry, tar. Expands with mint on the finish with light but raw tannins. Finish sails into the distance. Will wait a few more years for the next bottle. When Covid is defeated

Best zin (or blend) in quite a while. Just really good, round fruit flavors with structure holding it up to make it fun to just slurp around the mouth. Actually was better second night under pump, so obviously no rush.

Great wine for a cold night. Purple color with a irridescent ruby rim. Plenty of staining and long, glycerin-like legs. Nose of cassis, blueberries and herbs, with oak nuance. A neep inhalation will tickle your nose hairs. Makes sense after I checked the bottle and saw 15.2% abv. Palate shows tons of black and blue fruit, and big, chewy tannins. Long, spicy finish.

Semi opaque purple. Ripe black fruit nose. Medium bodied. Hedonistic palate of of black fruit and minerals, subdued tannins. Awesome!

ZAP:STORIES FROM SONOMA COUNTY. First time tasting this wine blend. Nose of black cherry, and dusty earth, touch simple on the palate, big body, needs 2 years to peak drinking, tasty, long, long finish is it's best feature.

Dark purple with ruby edges - pretty coloring. Hits you with black currant, plum, pepper, black dirt, and a bit of heat. Rich, dark, round and expressive. medium acidity but chewy tannins so I think it has some legs and would not be surprised if more fruit emerges as the tannins soften. Really delicious wine and love this combo of zin and Rhone.

Here is to the Oscar's, which remind us that Art lasts longer and has more meaning than politics. To warm my soul while watching the great artists who bring our modern stories to life, I selected this fine wine. It opened up nicely, and had a slight sweetness, which balanced nicely against the espresso, the rich dark fruit, and the nice young complexity of a very good wine. This is still quite young, but showing some great potential to continue …

A little disappointing for Limerick . The finish is a bit short, and a little vitamin at the end. It did warm up over about an hour period. The fruits began to come out more. Will try another glass tomorow, but overall this is a bit dusty for me, I much prefer the Collins Vineyard.

A brilliant dark garnet color leads to rich aromas of creamy vanilla, ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, roses and mocha with a wisp of smoke. A silky, seamless, round mouth feel is complimented by juicy mouth-filling flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, cocoa, vanilla, with mild, gentle tannins mid-palate leading to a clean finish of blackberry and toasty spice.
