This wine was past its prime. It was very simple, a note of cherry and then all the flavor was gone and the wine flat. Partially corked? The Goldschmidt vineyard is now the Winderlea vineyard, and we have had several wines from the Winderlea vineyard that were much better. I remember tasting this wine at the R Stuart tasting room and loving it, I just think it didn't age well, or too fast. I have a lot of 2006 Oregon …

Rich, spicy, jammy style, with ample smooth tannins... tasted even better on day 2, so there is time for this to age gracefully

Woa....this is elegant stuff. I have to be honest and say that I liked this Pinot Noir more than any other at the tasting (about 250 wines with 30+ Pinot Noirs) . It's was simply beautiful. On the nose was this simple gorgeous pink rose petal (that's really what came to mind...not red, not white....pink) and lavender. Just wonderful! Jammy, berry-y goodness. Really opened well after about a half an hour. Actually ate with some homemade mac & cheese and it was just great.
