Classic Napa Cab, this one was drinking decently now and likely on the downside so recommendation would be to drink up as it's not getting any better I'm sure, and likely the opposite as time progresses - Dark, with amber rim showing it's maturity, full bodied with a nose of blackfruit, plum, cedar, tobacco. vanilla and a touch of menthol, very smooth on the palate, a bit of heat and quite long on the finish (92 Points).

I bought the ‘09 on release and kept it cozy in my 55 degree cellar all these years. Opened one last night and it still has lots of life. Some good acidity and fruit remain. A classic Napa cab, smooth and supple. I’d give this vintage at least 2-3 more years of life.

Very good aged napa mountain fruit wine. I still think there is so.e upside on this wine.

Opened about 30 minutes before tasting. Plums on the nose, with hints of forest floor that became more pronounced over the ensuing hour or so. Same on the palate. Quite rich, with rather bodacious fruit. Fairly viscous, with a stellar finish. Definitely past its peak, however, so it's time to drink up, Really nice.

Not quite as impressive as a bottle 16 months ago, probably because it now seems slightly past its peak. With 90 minutes of air time, the fairly assertive nose showed various berries and baking spices, along with hints of vanilla and forest floor. On the palate, it was mostly black cherries, without the plum I tasted with the earlier bottle. Medium to full body and a very good finish, driven both by its viscosity and its still vibrant fruit. The …

I have been drinking different vintages of Cliff Lede’s Stag’s Leap Cabernet 2005, 2008 and this one 2009). All wines are very good, but this is the best of the bunch in my book.

Super clean and fresh. Striking aromas of eucalyptus, dark berries, cocoa powder, dusty earth, tomato paste and very subdued oak toast. The tannins are absolutely resolved. The weight, fruit and acid are harmonious. Really nice showing.

Very nice bottle, 3rd of 4. All the classic Napa Cab notes, including cassis, menthol, black cherry and a bit of smoke. Long and velvety finish. Delicious now, should drink well through 2025+.

Deep indigo color. Full of blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry and saddle leather. Medium bodied with some grippy tannins. This will continue to improve for several more years.

A little dry, but overall still solid backbone and some life ahead though I think it’s a bit past peak drinking window. Shows nice cherry and black currant fruit wrapped in a soft layer of oak.

Opened (not decanted) one hour before drinking. Consistent from first sip to last, 60 to 90 minutes later. Nice, assertive nose - black and blue fruits with a dose of graphite. Mostly plums on the palate, with hints of black cherries. Medium body, but quite viscous. Big, mouthfilling fruit. Viscosity coupled with fruit to produce a terrific finish. Not necessarily a life-changing experience, but it was an excellent Napa cabernet. Should be good for several more years.

Really like this but did not let it air out long enough. Deep indigo color. Lots of black and blue fruit with a bit of saddle leather. Full bodied and medium finish. Grippy tannins which suggests this will last longer than the 2020 drinking window. Think this will go to at least 2023.

Brought this wine with me to a party, and enjoyed the bottle with my wife, alongside some charcuterie. Bold and complex, showing a cacophony of ripe black fruits and embers, with adequate acidity to support the flavors, and nicely rounding tannins leading into a fruit and anise finish. This wine is nicely maturing, and will stay in a good place for drinking through 2022+.

Great aroma. That was my first thought after popping the cork. Beautiful color with balanced black fruit on first waft. Right at it's most drinkable now. Decanted for 2 hours. Currants and dark chocolate notes. Mid palate tannins and medium finish. This despite a fairly spicy attack that had me wondering what we were in for. A solid effort that shows how well the New world style holds up with a few years in bottle.

This is still very dark with loads of black currant, oak and chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium-full bodied and moderately dense with a fairly high amount of tannin and low acid. Rich and round but with very persistent tannins this is a solid Napa Valley effort with a bit of Stag's Leap greenery character. This may add some complexity with a few more years, but my guess is, it's best now and over the next few years for its youthful …

Deep ruby color leads to a textbook Napa Cabernet nose of cassis, cherry, and dark chocolate. Medium full body shows great blackberry, dark cherry, and vanilla notes with a bit of currant and mushroom in the background. Finishes with velvety silky tannins that last 45 seconds. This was decanted 1 hour prior to drinking. I found this to be a beautiful example of Napa Cab. I am very pleasantly surprised how much wine this has improved since release. This is …

Best bottle of the case we finished on vacation over the last week. Fruit and structure REALLY together at this time, as good on the palate as it is on the nose.

Dark ruby black without a hint of purple. Very restrained leathery cherry flavors. With an hour of airing this gets quite lovely. Restrained, yet gushing with dark cherry fruit. A serious wine. Now or hold.
