Really nice again. Opened a couple of bottles with a few friends to pair with my wife's incredible German meal of ghoulash, knoedel, and red cabbage. The bottles went very well with the meal and were drained by the group very quickly! Lovely detailed Cabernet flavor profile - ripe enough but not plush. No obtrusive oak influence. Balancing acidity. Excellent wine for the vintage.

14.9% abv. Recent auction purchase. Drinking very nicely, with some cedar box and nice Napa Cabernet flavor profile. Balanced and easy drinking, but lacks in concentration. Still, very nice and a pretty darn good food wine, as it went well with Superbowl snacks. Consistent over 2 days. Should hold for a few more years, but probably not a long ager and probably won't improve.

We served this wine side by side with a 2011 Larkmead Firebelle. The main course was prime rib. The Franc would benefit from decanting as the first taste was a little tight but the last glasses were delightful.
