00689/957. Matchstick, reductive, balanced ripeness and acidity. Seems a lot less impactful than the bottle before, if still of very decent weight. 94

00688/957. Sesame, creamy, citrus, orange, nectarine, lots of heat. Vintage ripeness over acidity in great harmony, so impactful. 94-95

not blind For a Aligote beside the tremendous acidity great volume and density. Popcorn, some roasted almonds, saline and refreshing. Close to his peak. 97

Decent, but not impressive. It is very well made, but too oaky for my taste. Although the oak is well integrated, it is very persistent and tends to overshadow other aromas. The wine is well balanced, has a nice crispness, but lacks depth and complexity. Good wine, but very poor value for money indeed.

So much concentration here but very reduced, which never blew off, even after an hour+ in glass.

Unmistakably d’Auvenay nose (more intense than the grape variety), opulent and fresh. Lemon, peach, white blossom, excellent salinity and minerals. On the palate reductive yet with a gentle balance. The exaggerating amount of acid throws me off a bit; perhaps it will change with time? 93
