Decanted 8 Hours. Decanting presents nose of cedar, light tar w/deep leather book color. We are fans of this wine as it is consistently excellent. Flavor of ripe plums. mild graphite w/full strong legs. Finish has exceptional length and balance. Perfect w/Beef Tenderloin Rack.

Walkaround in Vinexpo Hong Kong. Tasting the Bordeaux Grand Cru 2021. All are the characteristics of young wine. It is slightly spicy and higher acidity. Fresh red berries notes. Compare with Chateau Gloria, it have more tannis notes but less floral aromas. More rough mouthfeel.

The nose, with its tobacco, herbs, flowers, red currants, cedar and spice pops with little effort. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, crisp, chewy and loaded with savory-tinted red fruits with ample, sweetness to the soft, supple, cherries in the finish. The wine is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. It is interesting to note that this is the highest percentage of Cabernet used in the blend in the history of the estate. …

Black and red berries dominate the pencil-inflected nose, which is very complete for 2021. Good grip in the mouth. A little light on its feet (which seems a general characteristic of the vintage) but it comes across as nimble rather than hollow. Finishes well. 84% CS - the highest until the 2022 came along. 92-93 points
