Had this in a blind tasting side by side with Monfortino 2019 and Rinaldi Brunate 2019. All had plenty of time to breath in the decanter prior to the tasting. This wine has beaten the two Barolo. How is that possible? It had all the markers of the greatest Barolo: Rose petals, white truffles, ethereal berry fruit. Super elegant both on the nose and on the palate. TREMENDOUS QUALITY.

Monfortino Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany) : Glass: Conterno Sensory Tasted fully blind. Clear, medium garnet color with a watery rim. Youthful chalky mineral nose, with some fresh petals. Deep and fine. On the palate young, needs time but has a very good structure. Juicy, ripe acidity. Fine, ripe tannin. Maybe a touch hot? Nice extract sweetness, beautiful mineral core. Good length. 93+
