Light golden colour. Very seductive and perfumed on the nose. Expansive and mouthfilling. Spicy (like ginger, cardamom and preserved lemons) and deeply fruited (tangerines, red apples, pine-apple and apricots). Accents of gasoline and wet wool. Magnificant acidity!! What a marvelous wine, nearly baroque in personality, and a fabaulous Kabinett.

Quite evolved in color. Amber-ish... But still pretty tasty..!

Deep golden color, darker than I remember from a few years ago. Ripe apple, honey, moderate acidity. Just the right amount of sweetness.

A big, concentrated, juicy, nervous Kabinett (8,5% abv). The plush and creamy texture really helps to balance out its huge content of ripe acidity. Hints of lemon curd, orange zest and peachyoghurt. Great stuff, in early maturity. APnr 04-11

White peach and sulphur notes, adding a hint of petrol on the palate. Bright- lively acidity; consistently excellent.

Review by "al doughty" is really spot on; well done. For us, this was a tad too sweet and we would score a bit lower than others. Excellent QPR. Next time I would pair this with a slightly spicy food (Thai food?) and let the sweetness of the wine balance out the spice.

This is moving from youth to middle age. This bottle had a distinct honey note that became more pronounced as the evening progressed. More golden in color than previous bottles. Notes of apricot and as always plenty of minerals; the acid seemed a bit dialed back from earlier notes. Still a killer wine for the price and I look forward to watching it age further.

Provided by JohnR at NC wine crew gathering, $12 / bottle, 8.5% abv. Pineapple and apricot for days but too viscous and syrupy for what I would consider to be a Kabinett (IMO). Definitely unbalanced sweetness. Overall Evaluation: B- (82).

Green apple, slate and lemon on the nose. Strong, pure, concentrated fruits on an ample, medium weight body. Food friendly, racy acidity on the finish.

Huge, yet vibrant bouquet of nectarine, tropical fruit, anise and wet stone is wonderfully framed by a honeyed and floral character that sets up the palate perfectly. Abundant flavors of mandarin, pineapple and stone fruit fill the mouth with an almost plump viscosity, that is in turn tamed by scintillating acidity, the purity of which is hard to describe. Smoky slate notes are present throughout, but their subtle presence becomes more pronounced on the enduring finish as it weaves through …

Complex flavors of lush fruit (including tangerine, grapefruit), minerals, slate, iron, with good backbone or acid in the finish to counter the off dry sweetness. An intense and very satisfying wine. And only 8% ABV.

About a good qpr as it gets from Germany. Very fresh with lots of lime, lemon and lesser amounts of peach/apricot. Strong acidity, medium minerality, medium finish. Drinking well now but should easily age a decade.

Ripe, rich tropical fruit filled nose and palate more so than I expected for a kabinett, still kept in check by the terrific acidity at the centre of it

Rich in color, broad in body and mouth feel. Expressive aromas. Quite a lot happening in the glass with its amped acid, lemonade flavors and medium-plus finish length. I love the viscosity here, and the cumulative ingredients should make for rewarding years ahead.

Very fresh and vibrant example. Virtually no petrol aroma, but loads of honey, pineapple and tropical fruit. Pronounced acidity on the finish kept it lively and mouth watering. I've had several bottles of this, but this particular one was simply outstanding. The QPR on this is out of sight! 94+

Starting to develop the diesel aroma I'm not a fan of. That said, it was refreshing and has tons of life left.

Developing some of the diesel character that some enjoy. I prefer mine without, so I will consume sooner than later. Still, a delicious wine.

Classic Mosel Kabinett with a good balance between sweetness and acidity and a lod of fruits. Was great with Chinese Food

Almost two years since my last bottle and still going strong. Notes match previous: full of lime, green apple, more subtle nectarine; the acidity has tamed a bit from what it was balancing with the sweetness just a bit better. Plenty of life left but don't hesitate to check in now.

Far less vibrant than other examples. The acidity was more muted as was the citrusy fruit. Lime, lime zest, pear, honey and green apple abounded, but it just seemed heavier than before. Still, this was a great value and a tasty wine. 91

Stone fruit, lime, smoke, clay, earth, petrol, and grapefruit on the nose. Lime, lemon, minerals, tangerine, honey, earth, and pear on the palate. Nice blast of fruit on the front of the palate, followed by nice, tart acids. Decent finish. Quite tasty and very cleansing. Much better not very cold.

Yum. Always a killer value. Ripe (think spatlese) but not as crazy as some 2010s. Yellow peachy and pear. With some of that talc-y minerally quality. So good, so easy to drink. Maybe hard to pair given its intensity of fruit and sweetness. Great acids hold all of it up like a tent pole. To a rather big tent. Buy it if you see it! Impress your friends who don't drink German.

Similar notes as before. This does seem to open with a bit of a decant and went well with seafood. My guest really enjoyed it.
