Allowed to breath 2 hrs. Fruit has taken a back seat. I’m getting more cab notes (pencil shavings, dried mint, bay leaf) than Merlot (tomato leaf). Decent but not special. I have 3 bottles left and will likely drink 2 soon and leave 1 another 5-10 yrs just for curiosity.

Initial PnP, then consumed over four days. A little muted on initial opening, with a bit of astringency, this opened up with about an hour of air and showed best on night 2. Slight decline on day 3, and it was starting to taste a bit tired by day 4, but still quite drinkable. Overall very enjoyable and remains a solid QPR in my book.

Similar to prior notes, but a bit less robust. It also seemed to have a bit less body. Still an ohtstnading drink.

Solid, but not as impressive as previous. Fruit is a bit muted and overall low energy, maybe in a bit of a closed off era. Will try again in a few months.

I did a blind comparison of dN 250 with 2019 Human[e] by Rasa. I tried to blind myself, but knew immediately which was which by the nose of the 250. My wife had never had 250, had been over a year since either of us had had the Human[e]. Rasa’s Human[e] in 2019 used entirely DuBrul Vineyard Cab 53% and Merlot 47%. Pretty close to their Creative Impulse ($115-135) and Cote Bonneville DuBrul Estate blend Cote Bonneville ($125). Human[e] is …

Medium body, red and blue fruits, good acidity and structure.

Splash decant and back into the bottle for service. Flavors of cassis, black cherry, eucalyptus, and vanilla oak, with coffee and dark chocolate rounding it out on the lengthy finish. Outstanding stuff that is drinking really well right now, despite the young age.

Consistent with prior notes, except only a 90 min decant. Comparable on Day 2 as well. Great wine, in a great place for so early in it's development. I see this drinking well through 2029, possibly another 3-4 years.

Super sweet nose to start, followed by a yummy (not a compliment) blast of dark fruit flavors that sing one-note on and on (wish there was some harmony). The finish is the strong point, saliva inducing forever. Can’t see this improving, as it doesn’t have the structure to evolve positively. This is great party wine. Love the label art!

Sour cherry and raspberry to open, a little baking spice on the mid, mineral notes with a medium-long finish. Really beautiful made and drinking great now, but potential to get even better with age.

Decanted 2.5 hours. Really open and ready for business, despite it's youth and origin (DuBrul!). Silky mouthfeel, with flavors of cassis, cherry, mint, and oak, with mocha on the finish. Surprised by the lack of astringent tannins normally present in DuBrul wine, but this is drinking incredibly well right now. Kinda wish I'd opted for more than a 6 pack! Drink now - 2029.

After Chris’ note, I felt compelled to check in on these sooner than I typically would. This is indeed like liquid silk on the palate. Nice, round, full and smoooooooth. The integration of the tannins does give me pause in regards to the longer term aging prospects, but it’s quite the stunner now.

Popped and poured; no formal notes. This was my first of three bottles; a special charity bottling of fruit from the DuBrul vineyard since Rasa didn’t make Creative Impulse in 2019. I think it's worth noting that the packaging for this "Human(e)" release is flat out gorgeous with the JooHee Yoon label art. Anyway, I wanted to try one of these early to assess where it might go from here...and I gotta be honest, I don’t really know what to …

Really great. Almost the WOTN, but edged out by Kontos 2014 Progeny.

Steal of a deal from Rasa. Really well composed a this young age. Surprisingly mild tannins, surprisingly well integrated, and now really regretting only buying 6 bottles. Thank you, Billo and Pinto.

24 slow ox decant. Room temp. Attack is warm cherry, cassis, blackberry, midpalate thyme, silk, warm silk, mint, tannins that are like silk (in case you missed that) with deep cocoa spice finish. Extreme length. Still a baby, but highest I've ever scored a wine. Served with prime rib, cheese soufflé, prosciutto green beans.
