Very deep amber color. Interesting nose of orange marmalade, apricot nectar, preserved citrus peels and honey. Also reminds me of a very old Belgian triple (slightly oxidized notes). Medium-full bodied with a waxy feel as it slides down the gullet! Very round and caressing and loaded with apricot preserves drizzled with sourwood honey. Very old, but still absolutely delicious! Drink now. 92

Bought at the cellar door... Lovely dense monolithic --a study in stony fruit and honeyed nuts. Has sweetness but not cloying or heavy at all.

Sweet wine tasting (Le Petit Sommelier) : Clear pale yellow color. The nose is clean, showing medium intensity, honey at first but hard to find something else, there is a "dampness" in it making it quite strange overall, stewed quince, overripe apricot and peach, some medicinal note in the back, fully developed and going down. Semisweet, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol (12.50%), tin quince, stewed peach in the med finish. Very good quality, drinking yesterday. I shouldn't …

Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos St. Urbain Vertical (Absinthe, Bukit Pasoh) : An amazing wine. This was a completely different animal from the Zind-Humbrechts on show - it was almost a cross between a Vouvray and a Sauternes on the nose, with a wonderful sweet glow reminiscent of malted honey and treacle aromas, but it also had a nice earthy, white meaty nuance going on alongside amazing scents of dried figs and apricots, and distinctly savoury smells of …

Deep rusty orange, with some amber. Initially subdued nose, some sweet corn and orange, but after a half hour opened up to incredible kerosene, white truffles. Great acidity, some slight oxidation, very tokaji like. Not very long, but extremely balanced, and utterly complex. So sad it was my one and only bottle...

Still in excellent shape. Mid gold/orange color, beautiful nose and palate with no oxidation. Excellent balance and structure The cork was in perfect shape. Wish I had drank it with other wine lovers that would truly appreciate this wine. Live and learn.

Deep golden color, medium-full bodied, not overly sweet, good balance, honey, caramelized apple. Very pleasant, but probably at or close to it's peak.

Deep Golden color Honeyed flavor, possibly slight oxidation, indicative of age. At peak, not sure how long it will hold. Drink up over next year

(from a half) Deep gold with bronzey hints. Bit oxidised on the nose with little in the way of pinot gris fruit. A touch dried out, with an oxidised feel on the palate. Pleasant drink, but in this state unexceptional.

10.5% abv, but unfortunately no proper note. This was a good solid PG VT showing some flair.
