Medium garnet colour, no sediment. Red fruit, red cherry, forest notes, bacon fat, intense spice, nutmeg, liquorice and smoke are joined by a bitter orange peel note on the finish, with lively acidity, partly resolved tannin and average length. Classic early days German Pinot Noir profile, with average depth. A little thin and not quite as harmonious as one would expect from a Pinot Noir at this age.
