Very enjoyable with dark fruits, nicely integrated tannins, some mocha, some vanilla & graphite in a full body with a long finish & medium acidity.

PnP. Dark. Rich and full bodied. Black fruits, mocha, plum and vanilla. Smooth and delicious with supporting backbone and grippy tannins. Hitting its stride. Wish I had more.

Decanted 1 hr and taste, opened this last weekend and found this bottle hard and disjointed, poured back in the bottle with only an ounce or two missing, put cork back in bottle and placed in the fridge. After one week, pull from fridge and allowed to come to room temperature, the week in the fridge greatly soften as well as brought out the fruit hidden deep behind the harshness making this a fine accompaniment to the rare domestic Kobe …

Such a great wine from a winery that deserves more attention in my opinion. Will update notes tonight when it gets finished.

Patience is hard. Rewards for those who do. One of the best I have ever had.

True to Stags Leap District type, with black fruits and a blanket of rounded tannins. I have enjoyed several vintages of the Reserve, and always expect just a little more of a step up from the Juliet than I find.

Deep ruby core with garnet edges. Dark layered nose with lots of black cherries, blueberries, cassis, graphite, dark cocoa and more sweet spices. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Layered palate with notes of dark gravel, blackberries, a touch blue, and solid spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2024.

Much better with lots of decanting (6 hours minimum) and best on day #2. Palate is dominated by dark chocolate and graphite. Not much acidity. Viscous and big bodied but no rough edges and glides effortlessly across your mouth. Fruit plays a supporting role. Finish is a bit clipped although the chocolate lingers.

Popped and Poured. Cassis and a little mint on the nose. Smooth in the mouth with medium body. Notes of blackcurrant and chocolate. The fruit shows a little sweetness but the wine certainly does not come over as confected. Not much complexity. Medium length finish with integrated tannins. Very good albeit one dimensional. Enjoyable but not good value at this price point.

smooth and delicious but not a standout from a flavor standpoint.
