Big expectations, but: nothing but vanilla oak and balsamic notes, fruit nearly gone, some espresso in the background. The oak would need at least another 5 years to integrate, but the balsamic notes predict a short life - so what? Very hot vintage, by the way...

Very dark. Very intense aroma of fruit and spice. Complex. Aromas shifting. Full bodied. Slightly bitter finish. Medium length. Was sold out after Falstaff had published a very positive rating.

Deep garnet color with brightening on edge. Intense aromas of dark cherries, cassis, tobacco, spices. Wine is dry with enough acidity for freshness, still plenty tannins. Taste of dark fruit, leather, oak. Powerfull and with big structure. Long aftertaste. Needs lot of air. Few more years in cellar will do good. Excelent Bordeaux style wine from Burgenland.

Halali m Vock) (CS,M) Sehr schön balanciertes Gefüge, würzig-tief, gewisse Eleganz, mittlerer Körper, also nicht schwer. Der 2013 ist absolut reif, kann sicher noch weiter zulegen, da er im Verlauf im besser wurde.. (2020-30)

Compared to 2013 Opus Eximium more intensity and depth. A bit more oak noticeable at this stage, a bit more structured with firm tannins, but loads of ripe cherry and dark berry fruit and spices. Glossy and big. Nice bite towards the finish with an almost chocolate-like note. Excellent. 92-93+
