I totally agree with the other notes here. This wine is totally Alsation in style. No way I would pick it out as a domestic Gewurtz. The pear is really obvious on the nose, and I am getting the honeydew, but wouldn't have been able to pick it out without HS's suggestion. Popped and poured. This wine exhibited a rich golden color in the glass. On the nose, rich, ripe aromas of bosch pears, honeydew melon, and lychee were met with notes of jasmine and spice. WOW! What a gorgeous nose. On the palate, extremely fresh tasting fruit flavors were present (bosch pears, white peaches, honeydew) and accentuated by notes of nutmeg, pepper and vanilla.
